VIÑA MONTES CHOSEN AS NO. 4 WINERY, IN THE WORLD’S BEST VINEYARDS AWARDS

In an online ceremony that took place on July 13, the top 50 wineries of 2020 were announced by World’s Best Vineyards Awards, which saw Viña Montes rising two positions to number 4 in the world and number 1 in Chile. We want to thank all our staff and colleagues, who make up the Montes family and who work hard to make our winery a special place to visit, earning us this important accolade. The objective of the World’s Best Vineyards Awards is to raise the profile of enotourism and attract visitors and tourists to explore the experiences offered by the world’s leading wineries and cellars; to taste excellent wines and learn about winemaking and grape growing. 

Wineries are nominated and judged according to the overall experience of a tour, covering: the wines, the food, the atmosphere, the staff, the architecture and natural surroundings, its value for money, the winery's reputation, accessibility, and so on. 

The Montes experience 

The Montes experience begins with our wines. We’ve been producing wines of exceptional character and distinction for more than 30 years.

A visit to our winery, designed in line with the ancient practice of Feng Shui, stands out because of the splendid location and stunning views of the Colchagua Valley, and a tasting of our best wines.

Visitors can also explore the local flora and fauna of our six-kilometre nature trail through surrounding woods and hills.

After a tour, visitors can enjoy a range of delicious dishes at the Fuegos de Apalta restaurant, run by world-renowned Argentine chef, Francis Mallmann, all accompanied by the best Montes wines.
