Located in the Colchagua Valley, "La Finca de Apalta" is an essential part of the renowned Apalta Valley. The Tinguiririca River forms a natural divider in this isolated area, while a mountain chain to the north helps maintain a soft ocean breeze that plays a key role in the Apalta climate. To the south the Tinguiririca River creates a wind corridor, while the steep south-facing hillsides allow the vineyards to obtain adequate light and sun exposure.

This property produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Carmenère, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Mouvedre.

The soils are characterized by a significant presence of granodioritic rock that has a very low capacity for retaining water, which makes the hillsides the ideal place to grow grapes. In general the Apalta climate is more temperate than the rest of the Colchagua Valley due to the Pacific breezes that enter and remain in the valley. The considerable temperature difference between the hillsides and flat sections allows for slow and full ripening processes for the grapes.

The rigorous management plan that we use in our vineyards throughout the year allows us to obtain the highest quality grapes. Expert hands dedicate a great deal of time and care to each sector of the vineyards in order to achieve optimum quality grapes beginning in March of every year. The final product is 100% hand picked.

Each year we hold our now famous night harvest during which workers cut bunches from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. All of this work is carried out in order to produce healthy grapes that are a true expression of the terroir.
