Chile THE CHILEAN AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE'S "THE JOURNAL" (August, 1991) by James F. Channing. "A very bright star has suddenly risen on the local wine industry's horizon. A small winery, established only four years ago in Curicó won gold and silver medals at the prestigious VINEXPO fair in Bordeaux, France. This is quite a feat when considering that it takes most wineries decades to produce quality vintages, much less win medals at VINEXPO."

New Zealand THE SUNDAY STAR (Auckland, July 26, 1992)"CHILEAN WINES BACK ON TRACK" by Michael Brett. Not surprisingly the most expensive wine is the pick of MONTES. A classy wine, well balanced, with enticing front flavours. I know of no New Zealand Cabernet of such quality selling at that price."

"Although the area of the Argentinian vineyards is twice as big as in Chile, the greater honor belongs to Chile, with French styled wines of astonishing but little-known quality and-still-moderate prices."
